4 Secrets for hair growth

Tired of having short hair, maybe unhealthy hair? You have come to the right place.

I grew up in a place where no woman had hair passed their shoulders. In fact, it was very rare to find a person with shoulder length. I had always wanted to grow my hair but almost everyone thought as a black woman, I could never grow my hair passed my shoulder but today my hair is passed bra length almost going to waist length. The journey wasn't easy. There was a time I gave up and had set backs but overall I have learned four main things on my hair growth journey.




1.Changing your life style for hair growth

Your body reflects what you eat.

Did you know that some hair problems come from eating unhealthy or just not drinking enough water. According to Ryan Raman, "a lack of the right nutrients including vitamins A, C, D and E, zinc, B vitamins, iron, biotin, protein and essential fatty acids may slow down hair growth or even cause hair loss. Fortunately, correcting a deficiency in any of these nutrients may help treat hair loss and promote the rate of hair growth". As of today I always make sure that my diet contains all the nutrient needed.


2.Drinking a lot of water


Drinking a lot of water can improve your overall health. Have you ever wondered why your doctor ask you to drink a lot of water? Scientist have proven that drinking at least two liters of water in a day can improve your hair quality increasing growth. Not drinking enough water can even possibly stop your from growing completely. Drinking water also triggers the energy that is transmitted at the scalp that runs to your hair's end.

3. Exercising


Exercising can really help with hair growth. Exercise can benefit the entire body as it strengthens your cardiovascular system and reduces the risk of getting medical conditions that usually affect hair growth. A healthy body means healthy hair. By exercising you increase the blood flow in your entire body and this result to healthy hair, glowing skin and strong nails.

4. Using the right products



This is the most important part of all, it is not a surprise that the wrong product could damage your hair. Most products contain man made chemicals. Lets take the example of sodium lauryl sulfate, sodium lauryl sulfate is essentially known to amplify the effects of shampoos. This results in shampoos stripping away more important things that hair needs which is a negative impact to your hair.
